Bird Tree Quilt / Wall Hanging by Mark Hearld
Birds gather in a tree. A hoopoe, woodpecker, thrushes, owl and tiny wren perch on branches amongst nests and foliage. The artwork was created as a huge linocut, and printed by a nineteenth century steamroller. The image has been hand-screen printed onto linen, and outline-quilted by hand in Norfolk to bring the birds to life.
This unique, bespoke artwork has a variety of uses: as a baby quilt, a throw for a bed, and with a discreet pocket on the reverse so that it can be mounted as a wall hanging to transform a living room, nursery or bedroom.
Please note that due to the hand-stitched nature of this product, the outline quilting may vary slightly from quilt to quilt.
